Selected Venues For Pakistan Super League T20 2016

Pakistan Super league will debut in 2016 as its first season will be played in February 2016. The Official logo for debut season and ceremony was held on 20 September in Lahore. Pakistan Super League’s Official Song “ AB KHEAL K DIKHA “ was sung by Ali Zafar at the time of Logo Launched ceremony also.

As international Cricketers are afraid to play cricket in the Pakistan after attack on Sri lankan Team in Lahore in 2009, So Pakistan could not convince the players to play in the Pakistan. So Pakistan Super League’s debut season will be played in Dubai and Sharjah. First it was announced that the all Matches of PSL will be played in Single Stadium in Doha, but on 24 September PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) made a statement to shift the tournament in Dubai and Sharjah.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium

Dubai International Cricket Stadium previously it was known as Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium. It is one of three Cricket Stadiums in the UAE the other two are Sheikh Zayed Cricke Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium. Dubai International Cricket Stadium has the capacity of 25,000 people, but somehow it could be extend to 30,000. This is a part of Dubai Sports City. It was established in 2009, End Names of Dubai International Cricket Stadium are Emirates Road End and Dubai Sports City End.  First Ever international Match of this stadium was played between Australia and Pakistan on April 22, 2009.

Stadium Lighting System

The Dubai International Stadium is lighting by a special system of floodlights which are known as “Ring of Fire”. This stadium has fixed lights of the round roof of the stadium, that’s why it is unique from the other cricket stadiums around the globe. It has 350 floodlights plugged in series.

Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium

The Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium famous as Sharjah Cricket Stadium is in Sharjah. It was constructed in 1982. It has the capacity of 27,000 seats for crowed. Ends Names of Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium are Pavilion End and Sharjah Club End.
